We are changing the way that homes are built

A Greener Way to Build

Sustainability

We are committed to running a sustainable business and we believe that by doing things better ourselves we naturally encourage our stakeholders and partners to do the same. By creating such a vision for the future of communities and home building, we are reinforcing our mission statement which is fundamentally based on ESG principles.

High-performing energy-efficient homes

Homes constructed using the Future-Built system achieve the desired levels of insulation (thermal, acoustic), airtightness and sustainability with minimum wall thickness. Efficiently-constructed homes require minimal external heating and cooling. The off-site manufacture of many systems leads to greatly reduced material waste during its life cycle; there is also less distruption and noise on site.

Off-site production

Producing off-site and transporting as panels (as opposed to complete 3D rooms) allows us to reduce transport emissions, enable quick and efficient construction and save cost. An average lorry can either carry two 3D rooms or, as in Future-Built’s case, enough unassembled LGS beams to construct fifteen 8-room homes. Production at local, purpose-built satellites further reduces truck movements and therefore lowers transport costs and CO2 emissions.

80% Lighter

Future-Built’s fully-insulated, precision-manufactured LGS panels are 80% lighter than the brick/block equivalent. Reducing time, cost and embodied energy.

80% Recycled Steel

One low-carbon Future-Built home is manufactured using 80% recycled steel. One 2000 sqft home built out of timber uses 40-50 trees; when built out of LGS this uses 6 scrapped cars.

85% Recyclable

At the end of the building cycle, 85% of the steel will be recyclable. We ensure waste is minimised during construction and that the use of sustainable materials is maximised.

Building communities for the Future

We believe each project should be an asset to the area, working with local people and organisations to create developments that are sustainable and desirable. Our systems and working practices have higher levels of recyclability, lower embodied energy and generate the least amount of CO2 of any turnkey provider.

Environmental

We build dedicated satellite factories where we train new skilled, local workers, promoting economic development, improving working conditions and reducing commuting. We work with local colleges to create valuable apprenticeships, helping students gain skills and real-world experience.

Social

The Future-Built mission is to develop relationships with suppliers who share our ethical and environmental philosophy. Our satellites facilitate and encourage collaboration with the local supply chain while also reducing the carbon footprint. Our aim at Future-Built is to enrich the local communities whilst building thriving new ones.
